Trinity to Vote on Whether to Offer Call to be Senior Pastor to Pastor Ben Jennings

Trinity Baptist Church on November 8 will vote on offering a call to Pastor Ben Jennings from the Canton Baptist Temple to be senior pastor at Trinity. Pastor Jennings has served at two different churches in the ministry for 14 years.

Before serving at Canton Baptist Temple since 2014, he served as Associate Pastor at Sonshine Baptist Church in Punta Gorda, Florida from August 2006 to January 2014.

“At Sonshine I was responsible for student ministries, music ministries, outreach ministries, a Sunday School class for parents with kids in the home, overseeing all major church wide events, and regularly preaching and teaching,” Pastor Jennings said on his online Linked In profile.

The profile lists his starting as the Minister of Education at Canton Baptist Temple in July 2014. He is currently listed on the Canton Baptist Temple website as the Outreach and Assimilation Pastor.

“I am the Outreach and Assimilation Pastor at Canton Baptist Temple in Canton, Ohio,” he explained on his official website,” benjennings.org. “It’s a great church with a heart to see people be saved, discipled, and sent out to do ministry locally and around the world. I am always looking for opportunities to help people encounter Jesus Christ and take steps towards Him.  I am passionate about seeing God work in my life and in the lives of others. I’m also passionate about helping everyone I can do the same thing.”

His Linked In profile also explains Pastor Jennings has a “demonstrated history” of working in the local church. He has experience preaching, in pastoral counseling, in spiritual growth, spiritual direction, and the Bible. According to the profile he is a “strong community and social services professional with a Master’s degree focused in Church Ministry from Baptist Bible College.”

Pastor Jennings has two degrees from Baptist Bible College: a Master’s Degree in Church Ministry in 2011, and a Bachelor of Science in Missions/Missionary Studies and Missiology in 2004.
